Jim Morrison率いるThe Doorsのセカンド・アルバム。Jim Morrisonによる詩的な歌詞と、オルガンを加えたJazz的な匂いのするサウンドが特徴。「People Are Strange」、「When the Music’s Over」を収録。

Robbie Robertson(g)等、Bob Dylanのバック・ミュージシャンが結成したグループ、The Bandのデビュー作。映画『Easy Rider』にも使われた名曲「The Weight」を収録。ジャケットはDylanが描いており、「Tears Of Rage」、「This Wheel’s On Fire」、「I Shall Be Released」の3曲もDylanの作品。

The Beatlesのメンバー各自の作品の “寄せ集め" 感のある2枚組。結果的には、「Back In the U.S.S.R.」、「Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da」、「While My Guitar Gently Weeps」、「Helter Skelter」など、メンバーの個性と嗜好を楽しめる、多彩で濃厚な内容となった。

Jeff Beck Group / Truth

Yardbirdsを脱退したJeff Beckが結成した第一期Jeff Beck Groupのファースト・アルバム。Hard Rockという音楽スタイルの先駆となった作品であり、Rod Stewartという希代のロック・ヴォーカリストの存在を知らしめたアルバムである。

Cream / Wheels Of Fire
